Direct team management, via demonstration of strong leadership and role modeling skills, of a defined reliable, high quality, efficient legal and project management services by Hyderabad Contract Management Team to enable delivery of various contracts and other projects handled by Global Legal department of various divisions. Also responsible for developing and coaching Legal Contract management team at Hyderabad in line with Novartis people development requirements and Novartis Values and Behaviours
Works closely together with the Legal, IP and Compliance Function Head (and in con-junction with matrix Operational Manager, Regional Account Director, transition) to shape and develop the PLS Legal Services group and address evolving business and customer needs. Managing team of lawyers/paralegals supporting contract management, handling CDAs, Agreements, work orders, Payments support, and other contracts of similar complexity level in direct contact with the business clients Supports direct reports and also delivers own individual contribution in 70:30)ratio Supports optimization of current processes and/or introduction of new or modified processes. Maintains the overview on timelines and deliverables in all assigned projects • Provides guidance, quality control and guidance in methodologies, processes and SOPs to enable delivery of contract management within following areas: o Healthcare Professionals Contracting & Archiving o Research Agreements o Non-disclosure agreements, CDA’s , Data Privacy Agreements o Clinical Trial agreements o Material Transfer Agreements o Manage periodic performance reports: Monthly/Quarterly KPI reports for stakeholders based on team perfor-mance Weekly reports for assessing internal performance Annual Performance Matrix • Takes initiative to drive standardization of process across different Franchises/ divisions within PLS contact team and work with FH towards its timely implementation. • Work towards build-up of functional capabilities to expedite transition of value added projects from Global Legal and business to PLS Legal Hyderabad • Establishes, vigorously monitors and report KPIs & take proactive action to continuously strive for improvements. Manage the Service Level Agreements with various customer stakeholder groups. • Ensures exemplary communication with all stakeholders including internal contract team associates, and global customers through regular local and global updates with fo-cus on accomplishments, KPIs, best practices, staffing changes, key events, etc. Identifies and resolves operational issues, clearly articulate potential recommenda-tions/solutions to local or global managers/partners; manage number of escalations to global office. Works with other teams (cross functional teams) at PLS Legal Hyderabad to leverage the cross-functional synergies
Law Degree /Post Graduate Degree in liefescience or MBA English • 8-12 years of overall work experience with a leading pharma company/legal service provider and at least 3+ years’ experience in leading a team • Excellent communication skills • Past work reflects a track record of operational excellence in analytics space • Understanding complexity of working in an off-shored environment with 2+ years of international exposure • Familiarity with process set-up, quality KPIs and operational issues / management
