The Investor Services Environment Management Analyst will be responsible for: -
Automating the support of our application test environments
Creating, implementing and continually improving environment management processes, procedures and tools.
Building and maintaining good working relationships with Application Development, QA, business and other technical teams (GSO/GTI).
Analyst/programmer to work on automation projects within the ISQA environment team, primarily in end-to-end environment and business flow monitoring.
The individual should be a self-starter whom can work autonomously on specifications provided. They would also be expected to consider best practice and put forwards ideas for improvement whilst providing input in to the development of proper controls and standards for:
Developing team processes
Coding and any other artefacts produced. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
Minimum five years’ experience in technology, preferably in the financial sector.
A proactive approach to problem solving with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
SQL / RDBMS
OO - Programming preferably with Java & Python experience.
Transfer protocols – FTP / STP / NDM
Experience with environment management practices and procedures.
Experience of working as part of a globally distributed team.
Geneos Monitoring (Active console/Gateway/Dashboard)
IBM Z Series mainframe experience
Working knowledge of source control, build and deployment technologies and processes.
COMMUNICATION AND MANAGEMENT SKILLS:
Good verbal and written [English] communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise and tidy documentation.
Good prioritisation and time management.
Attitude - enthusiastic, positive, and self-motivated.
