The Technology team at our GSCs service all Lines of Business and Enterprise Technology in helping build and operate innovative industry leading solutions. The breadth of capabilities within the Technology team at the GSC enables it to support the firm in leading edge areas such as Digital, Big data analytics, Robotics & Machine Learning.
The Chase Cardholder Core Processing team is responsible for the development, maintenance, and providing L3 support for the Core Cardholder system for Chase Card Services.

As a Application Developer on the Core Processing team, you'll have overall responsibilities to:
Responsible for development projects and initiatives which will include new functional requirements, process tuning and "Break" fixes.
Work directly with other members of the development, project management and business teams
Application Change Management - Decision making and approval of all changes, assess risk/benefit, and coordinate with Service Delivery Managers and Chase business teams communication and timing.
Perform hands on triage and break fix (level 3 support), adhoc reporting, code walk-thrus, and core processing internal wellness checks.
Work within prescribed Chase Card Services development methodologies and standards
Support changes/applications post implementation by debugging, fixing, and participating in maintenance releases as needed.
Become knowledgeable and familiar with the overall C3 platform, and subject matter expert on your particular subsystem i.e. Cardholder.
Stay abreast of new technology and methods to optimize development for the enterprise.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to other Application Developers on the team.
Participate in all aspects of Application Development life cycle.
Develop error free, highly efficient code that complies with all code standards and methodologies.
Participate in Application Developer and peer code reviews.
On a day-to-day basis, you'll be expected to:
Create technical specifications, Develop code and test for small business requirements, process improvements and break fixes.
Participate in Testing, Implementation Planning and Execution of complex applications
Provide level 3 production support for the application.
Provide technical and programming support and mentoring to Application Developers.
Develop error free code that complies with all code standards and methodologies.
The Core Card Services team is looking for application developers who will thrive in a dynamic work environment and are interested in participating and leading in the delivery of quality software code. In addition, strong candidates will possess:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field of study or equivalent relevant experience in mainframe programming
3-5 years of experience with large mainframe based applications built with Cobol, IMS-DB, JCL, DB2, Assembler, CICS. - Other Mainframe Technologies that would be nice to have/added plus: MQ Series.
Mainframe Tools - REXX, CA7, Changeman, Sync Sort.
Experience and knowledge of change management, implementation planning and release management.
Experience and knowledge of in code management and versioning methodologies with experience with a leading code management tool.
General experience of credit card industry experience not required but preferred
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work well either independently or as part of a team.
Familiar with Agile Methodology, Project Life Cycle
Business exposure in banking and finance is preferred
