Overall purpose of role

This role will support the Community & Premier Banking Portfolio in delivering their Strategic change, focussing on the Business Analysis requirements.

Key Accountabilities

Identify, quantify, plan and control all business analysis related activity on a business change project/programme from initial scoping, requirements gathering, through to operational design.

Provide specialist, objective analytical insight based on work completed by Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) on a project/programme.

Champion the Agile delivery methods which are being adopted by

Community & Premier Banking.

Support project management in defining the project and producing the project definition / Viability Assessments and supporting plans.

Actively contribute to the realisation of the project aims and objectives, and the contribution of business analysis to those aims and objectives.

Manage specific project business analysis workstreams to meet project targets.

Effective management and reporting of own time to deliver against project plan.

Provide timely and accurate progress reports to the project manager.

Ensure the delivery and presentation of business analysis is to appropriate levels of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the project plan

Undertake business analyst interviews (including organising and facilitating joint requirements planning sessions and working groups) and analysis

Provide data analysis and scenario modelling

Provide objective analysis of SME output

Provide analytical support to project management and the PCB Personal leadership team where appropriate

Lead the production and manage sign off of:
Project analytical fact base

Project business requirements definition (high and detailed level)/User Stories

Project operational design (high and detailed level)

Contribute to the production of:
Project business and benefits case

Project change impact assessments

Training material

Provide specialist, objective analytical insight based on work completed by Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) on a project/programme.

To assess, design, develop and implement new business processes, systems, products and services that are the deliverables from a strategic business change project as part of an overall strategic business change programme.

Complete a complex and diverse range of tasks against Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)

Actively contribute and champion the development of the change delivery process.

To analyse insight completed by Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) on BAU activities and business change projects.

To initiate, formulate and present recommendations based on analysis in order to influence the decisions made by the Project management and Business Architect function.

Own and direct specific deliverables within the Business Analysis workstreams.

Provide support to the Project Manager and Business Architect.

Take responsibility for the professional development needs of the wider PCB Business Analysis community.

Be responsible for their own professional development needs.

Actively contribute and champion the development of the business analysts role across PCB..

Stakeholder Management and Leadership

Potentially Line manages individuals, including Performance Management, Interim and Annual Reviews, Personal and Professional Development needs.

Provide leadership and coaching to ensure that all staff are aligned to the goals and culture of both Retail Operations Change Delivery and Barclays.

Rigorously discharge all of the Group’s HR policies (including Performance Development, Equality and Diversity, Disciplinary & Grievance) in respect of staff Line Managed

Act as a role model in terms of both delivery and behaviour for all staff in PCB personal

Demonstrate total commitment to the personal and professional development of all members of PCB personal

Mentor and coach colleagues and clients by sharing experience

Person Specification

The candidate will be:
Self-driven, is proactive and demonstrates initiative, and strong problem solving abilities.

Has strong collaborative nature, and ability to see the whole picture.

A Person who has line and functional & Line management experience

Understanding of IT systems and functioning

Must demonstrate effective communication with management, peers, and subordinates, both verbally and in writing.

Aptitude to learn tools/apps/processes/domains and proficient in test management methodologies and practices

Strong teaming, problem solving and communications skills will be required

Must be able to work with minimal or no supervision and have the ability to prioritize workloads quickly and efficiently.

Experience in working with global teams

Participate in tasks at org level like training/social activities to promote BTS/Barclays culture

Demonstrate understanding of basic Agile principles and importance of Agile software delivery

Experience in working with Agile software delivery teams required (preferred)

Experience in working with Scaled Agile teams is preferred (preferred)

Experienced in writing and working with product requirements, features, and user stories required (preferred)

Educational qualification

Essential:
Strong BA skills/experience

Experience of working within a SDLC and/or Agile project environment

Industry standard BA qualification
